WELCOME, BROTHERS AND SISTERS

At First Baptist Church, it is our mission to help you explore  your relationship with God and improve meaningful relationships with others. Join us as we meet together in Christian fellowship, experience  the warmth and love of this church family, and strengthen your faith in  our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as we study God's Word.

We Answer

What do we teach?

We use both the Old Testament and the New Testament as the foundation for our faith. We strive to practice  Christ's teachings at home, at school, and at work. We believe the Bible is the final authority.

What are our core values?

Just as Jesus said in the Beatitudes, blessed are the poor in spirit,  our mission is not just to love one another, but we are to make sure we  spread the love of our Lord Jesus Christ to everyone across the globe.

What is FaithWeavers?

FaithWeavers is an outreach program that is sponsored by the Chautauqua County Ministerial Alliance. It is a non-denominational outreach program where kids grow in relationship with God, with one another, and with those who are in need. Each Wednesday evening in which school is in session, kids from the area meet at FBC Sedan.

FaithWeavers is for kids who are in grades K-12, and it is the perfect midweek program to build faith and friendships. Through prayer and praise, kids deepen their relationship with God. Not only do we feed kids spiritually, we feed them physically by serving a free meal at 6:30 PM.

Our Senior Pastor

If you're a newcomer to FBC Sedan, you probably have some questions about our pastor and his family. Pastor Mark Davis earned his Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies from Calvary Baptist Institute and Seminary. He became our pastor in September of 2014.

Pastor Mark and Ralene Davis have three adult children and twelve grandchildren. Therefore, their passion is for families. They have a heart for people who are lost and hurting. It is their desire to not only see people saved, but to see them grow and  develop a strong relationship with the Lord through the teaching of God's Word. Both Pastor and Ralene enjoy working together as a team, and they strongly believe in the importance of unity in marriage and family.

Today, Pastor Mark and Ralene lead our congregation by teaching God's Word and ministering to the needs of others, both inside and outside the church's walls. If you are searching for a church home, please consider visiting us at FBC of Sedan. If you need  assistance, please give Pastor Mark a call at the office or on his cell. The church's telephone number is 620-725-5399; cell is 620-262-6922.
